Tortuga Casino Welcome Bonus
I registered on a Tuesday evening, deposited £20 and followed the bonus through the cashier to the wagering counter. Tortuga Casino spreads its welcome bonus across your first three deposits, and the first deposit carries most of the value.
35x wagering applies to the bonus amount on all three tiers. A £20 first deposit gets you £20 in bonus funds and 50 free spins, so you wager £700 on the bonus before withdrawing. The £150 cap on the first match is lower than the headline figures at some rivals, but 35x is easier to clear than the 40x attached to bigger offers elsewhere.
Claiming your welcome bonus in four steps
Registration to bonus funds took me about ten minutes.
Create your Tortuga Casino account with your email address, date of birth and UK address. The form takes about two minutes, and you tick the welcome offer box before you submit it.
Make a first deposit
Deposit at least £20 with a Visa or Mastercard debit card. My funds appeared in my balance within seconds. I did not need a Tortuga Casino welcome bonus code. A promo field sits below the amount box, and leaving the welcome code field empty still triggered the 100% match. Tortuga Casino excludes some payment methods from the offer, so check the terms before you choose PayPal or Pay by Phone.
Receive the bonus
Tortuga Casino added my £20 bonus and 50 free spins to my account within a minute of the deposit. It assigns the free spins to one slot, and you cannot swap that game for another.
Start playing
Open a slot and watch the wagering counter in your account. You have 30 days to clear it, and the maximum bet is £5 per spin while the bonus is active. Tortuga Casino holds your bonus in a separate wallet, so your cash balance stays untouched until the bonus funds run out.
Bonus tiers at each deposit stage
The Tortuga Casino welcome offer pays out across three deposits, and each tier gives you a smaller match than the one before.
| Deposit | Match | Max bonus | Free spins | Wagering |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st deposit | 100% | £150 | 50 | 35x |
| 2nd deposit | 50% | £100 | 30 | 35x |
| 3rd deposit | 25% | £75 | 20 | 35x |
The third tier asks for a £300 deposit to collect the full £75, which is the largest outlay for the smallest reward. If you plan to deposit once or twice, the first two tiers hold nearly all the value.
How each game type counts towards wagering
Slots clear the bonus fastest. A £10 spin on a slot adds £10 to your progress, while a £10 chip on live roulette adds £1. The casino welcome bonus excludes sports betting, which runs on separate promotions.
| Game type | Contribution | What it means for £700 of wagering |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | 100% | £700 of spins |
| Table games | 10% | £7,000 of play |
| Live casino | 10% | £7,000 of play |
| Game shows | 5% | £14,000 of play |
| Sports betting | Excluded | Use the sportsbook promotions instead |
